Testaccio Market Walk

Our 3-hour market walk takes place at one of Rome’s most well known outdoor markets where you’ll see and taste the season’s fresh ingredients including fruit, vegetables, meats and cheeses. During the tour you will also make a visit to a neighborhood bakery and pasta shop and discuss the meaning of eating “di stagione” and how Italian cuisine is connected to fresh produce. Visit an alimentare where you will have a chance to sample olive oil from the regions of Lazio and Umbria and buy some goodies to take home. At the end of your walk, you’ll nosh on some very special pizza thought to be the best in Rome. There will be plenty of time to photograph along the way. This tour is given the mornings of Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
